Thirty years prior to the Servant of the Light’s events, Pierre-Antoine Lascombes is a young, up-and-coming French conservative politician. He embarks on a journey of ambition and self-discovery at the Covenant Foundation in Virginia. There, he forms a deep bond with John Frederick Heider, another conservative rising star, groomed for the U.S. presidency by the Covenant’s chairman, Robert Kay. However, their covert romance conflicts with the Covenant’s rigid religious doctrine, resulting in John’s betrayal to preserve his political prospects, and Pierre-Antoine’s expulsion.
Nonetheless, in 2052, Pierre-Antoine is drawn back by Robert Kay into the Covenant’s web of power games as he joins Heider’s presidential campaign. But fate strikes again, and amid rising civil unrest, chaos ensues, culminating in a second American Civil War.
A year later, as he campaigns for his own presidential bid, Pierre-Antoine is embroiled in a scandal that threatens to derail his ambitions. With the Covenant still lurking in the shadows, he grapples with the consequences of his past and the fate of a world in crisis. Caught in the turmoil of shifting alliances and the threat of global conflict, Pierre-Antoine must choose between his allegiance to the oaths taken and the moral imperative to lead humanity towards a better future.
