There we go, the first post and the first clue of the series.
The story will see the coming of a new empire on Earth. Its boundaries will go beyond the surface of our good old planet. But how does it emerge, from where, by whom? These questions, so far, remain unanswered…
Every empire requires a strong attribute, an emblem glorifying its new dominium. And that’s what I have created here, a combination of powerful symbols to rule them all:
– the double-headed eagle. While of an ancient origin, it is mainly inherited from the Byzantium Empire as a representation of imperial power. Then, in time, it passed on the Holy Roman Empire, the Russian and Austrian empires
– above the heads, the Imperial Crown combining royal authority with divine right to rule.
– the golden laurel wreath, a symbol in Rome of martial victory and triumph. The Empire is victorious over its enemies
– the sacred lotus flower representing divinity, enlightenment and triumph over obstacles. But also eternal life through re-incarnation
– and finally, the triquetra. Both a Pagan and Christian symbol. The heavens, earth and underworld interlaced to bring order and stability to the universe.
Yes, religion will take an important part in this story. A mean for an end. But, after all, it’s called Antichrist…
